[Revisor-users] Problem: building install CD

Bad assumesions on my part, but with out documentation, all you can do is look at
GUI, what hapens in CLI, and try to browse the code, some of which is revisors
others inherited from, yum, rpm, anaconda, ....

Took me a while to figure out if I wanted a model config file listed in the gui
it had to start with revisor, and end with conf, and what was in between was the
cli model switch.

as far as os type, sooner or later that will have to be an option, because not every
flavor of linux is going to want there boot live cd / dvd setup the same way.
The little bit of SUSE an rpm based linux distribution shows me this. Using
cramfs which is endian dependent at the moment.

Well the lack of a "architecture" entry in the provided config files,
and the knowledge that your going to have to know the architecture,
lead me to assume that it was parsing it from the file name, model switch,
I should have assumed, you assumed, instead of just me assuming.

just like playing / working with %include in kickstart files, has been a hack n slash
trial, and error process. and the warning about not having %end in my package
list section, and mentioning its depreciated, makes it even more clear.

and the GUI check box that say get repo info from kickstart file, is not documented
anywhere, and with the ability to choose a model config, and a kickstart config
baffles me to the point where I'm gonna wait for the movie.

After looking at a lot of rpm spec files from others, revisors included, I can now
report that the Requires: tag if used must be grouped with the other ':' ending tags
and too my surprise maybe specified multiple times, and for each subpackage
find a document that documents that and rub my nose in it, so I can add it to my book mark list.

but all in all the program is doing what I want it to do, even if its beat me up
along the way it has been worth it.

Revisor uses the "architecture" configuration parameter in the model
configuration, and if it is not present there, assumes 'i386'. Other
then that there is no such thing as "OS type" that Revisor uses or it
would have also been a parameter to configure in the model.

Nowadays the latest GIT also has a --list-models CLI parameter which
lists all models available from a certain configuration file
(/etc/revisor/revisor.conf by default, but another file could be used
with --config).

Kind regards,
