I've been trying to build a F8 with all my custom bells and whistles.
I've been testing it in a Virtual machine with 256M of ram. Everything
worked great.
So backed up my laptop and cut a DVD. When I tried to put it on my
laptop. It got as far as the formating drive screen then complained that
swapoff was missing. After looking more closely most of the files in
/usr/bin, /usr/sbin etc are missing compared to my F7 copy. (couldn't run
top, vmstat or any of my normal monitoring tools either)
I did manage to get it running by putting mem=256 in the kernel parameter
line. I'm guessing that much over that and it tries to turn off the swap.
So I'm not stuck at the moment.
However, why are so many files missing in the core directories?
