Stepping down from rpmfusion

Thorsten already preannounced my intentions to step down from
rpmfusion, so I'm keeping this as short as I can.
Over the last couple of months I had been involved in two projects,
epel and rpmfusion, that happened to also involve Thorsten. It turns
out that we make a very bad team to make an understatement. I don't
like what epel is turning to, and I also don't like what rpmfusion
has stalled into.
o My personal dream of getting all third party repos including not
only the ones that are still on this list, but also Dag, Dries, KB,
ccrma and centos+/sl+ slowly crumbled into ashes. Instead of a grand
merger we would simply achieve reducing N to M < N.
o I can't support anymore the commitment of rpmfusion to consider EPEL
vendorlike. Even though I was a member of the steering committee of
EPEL until today EPEL's course is the exact opposite of what I liked
it to be. Making compromises is one thing, but going 180° apart is
another, so I decided to care about EPEL as much as the majority of
EPEL member care about other 3rd party repos.
o My personal conflicts with Thorsten burned down my battery acid to
the last drop. Most of the battling was carried on fedora and epel
lists, but even here, when the topics are kmdls (or "shit"), koji vs
plague, svn vs cvs, epel vs non-epel, dag vs scare away dag, green
vs blue, heaven vs earth or Bach vs Beethoven, Thorsten and I have
diametrical opinions. One of us is the Bizzaro-analogon of the other
(watch Smallville in two weeks to see what that is).
I've had this eating on me for quite some time and Hans did some
excellent counseling to keep my glas half-full instead of half-empty,
but now the glas is between completely-empty and not-at-all-full.
This is not any criticism against any of the remaining repos (namely
livna, freshrpms and dribble). I respect all three for what they
accomplish and stand for and I wished this had worked out as I
envisioned it 3/4 year ago.
And this is also not a lame attempt to get some things done, e.g. I'm
not pretending to leave to have people reconsider their minds. It was
a painful and irreversible process to get to this point.
